Established in 1990, the Auckland Institute of Studies (AIS) is one of New Zealand’s largest independent, degree-granting tertiary institutions. It is a Category 1 NZQA-accredited provider, the highest quality rating given by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. 

Campus & Locations

The institute operates two campuses in the suburb of Mount Albert, Auckland: 

  • St Helens Campus: Located in a park-like setting next to Chamberlain Park Golf Course, it houses the library, computer labs, and a student hostel.
  • Asquith Campus: A five-minute walk from St Helens, situated near the St Lukes shopping centre with strong transport links to central Auckland.
