Universal College of Learning (UCOL), Horowhenua (Levin) campus

The Universal College of Learning (UCOL) Horowhenua campus is a community-focused educational hub located in Levin, New Zealand. Recently, the campus transitioned to a more mobile and integrated delivery model to better serve local learning needs. 

Campus Overview

• Location: The campus has relocated to Te Whare Mahana, a central community hub at 32 Bristol Street, Levin.
• Operating Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with additional access for after-hours classes.
• Atmosphere: Positioned between the beach and the Tararua Ranges, the campus offers a balance of academic focus and access to outdoor recreation. 

Academic Focus & Delivery

The Horowhenua campus has shifted toward a "community-focused approach," utilizing delivery hubs where and when they are needed. 

• Current Model: Some traditional vocational courses (e.g., early childhood education, construction, and beauty) have recently been paused or transferred to the larger Manawatū campus in Palmerston North due to fluctuating student numbers.
• Collaborations: The campus maintains a close relationship with Horowhenua College, where senior students can participate in Trades Academy programmes run in conjunction with UCOL.
• Broader UCOL Offerings: Students generally have access to UCOL's wider portfolio of certificates, diplomas, and degrees in fields such as health, business, and information technology.

Students at the Horowhenua campus can access centralized UCOL support services, including:
