​The University of East London (UEL) collaborates with Malvern International to offer international students a comprehensive pathway to higher education through the on-campus International Study Centre (ISC) at UEL's Docklands campus. This partnership is designed to support students whose academic qualifications may not directly meet UK university entry requirements, providing them with the necessary academic and English language preparation.


Student Experience at the International Study Centre

Students at the ISC benefit from a supportive learning environment, with small class sizes of up to 25 students, ensuring personalized attention. The center employs over 40 staff members and offers more than 60 classes daily, including weekly personal tutorial sessions to assist students in achieving their academic goals. The ISC also organizes various activities to help students integrate into university life and build a sense of community. 


Global Recruitment and Support

Malvern International actively recruits students from various regions, including Nepal, and provides comprehensive support services to ensure a smooth transition to studying in the UK. The partnership emphasizes a student-centered approach, aiming to equip international students with the necessary academic proficiency, English language mastery, and cultural insights for their academic and career success. 


Pathway Programmes Offered

Malvern International delivers several pathway programmes that facilitate progression to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at UEL:

  • International Foundation Year (IFY): A one-year programme that prepares students for the first year of UEL degrees in various disciplines, including Architecture, Business & Management, Engineering, Computing & Science, and Humanities & Social Science.
  • International Foundation Programme (Combined CAS Programmes): An integrated foundation and degree programme that combines academic knowledge and language provision, covering the full duration of undergraduate studies.
  • International Year One: A route to Year 2 of a range of undergraduate degrees, offering support to improve language skills and study academic modules in small class sizes.
  • Pre-Master’s/International Graduate Diploma Programmes: Designed for postgraduate students, these programmes provide the necessary academic and English language preparation for master's degree studies.
